They declined because of their time restrictions due to the fact that Casey Nezhoda was in charge of baby-sitting their children as Rene concentrated on his business. In the final season they got another chance as actors who appeared on the show regularly. They acted as buyers for the first six episodes before becoming the main cast in the season two.
